Fundacja Klaster LifeScience KrakówThe Klaster LifeScience Krakow (KLSK) is a cluster initiative representing an innovation ecosystem involving six groups of interest: businesses, academia, research & innovation, hospitals, business support, and local government. Our strategy and programmes support the growth of the entire ecosystem, not just the partners in the cluster network.
KLSK is the strategic partner of regional authorities in implementing the RIS3 strategy, with “life sciences” serving as the model for regional smart specialisation. We have experience in H2020 projects and received the Seal of Excellence for the “European Digital Innovation Hub – HealthGoDigital” project proposal.
We facilitate the LSOS open collaboration platform to build a life science and health-oriented innovation ecosystem. We are actively involved in two relevant international networks: the Council of European BioRegions and ScanBalt.
We annually organise the international event Life Science Open Space (www.LSOS.info), an open innovation forum dedicated to collaboration for health and quality of life. KLSK has the capacity to collaborate with the central government and effectively facilitate dialogue with regional governments, translating into the ability to deliver results in terms of policy execution.
Finally, our experience in applying systems thinking tools and methods can help to develop and solve complex problems related to innovation ecosystems.

Free webinar: Navigating market access for VR health technologies in Europe

A promising VR health solution is one thing. Getting it into a healthcare system is another. Our latest Market Access Landscape Report maps the routes, requirements and barriers facing VR health technologies across eight European markets. But on 18 September, we want to go one step further: from research to real market experience. Join us for a free #online #webinar where András Perényi, Syreon Research Institute, and Cristiana Costa, Instituto Pedro Nunes, will discuss the report’s key findings and what they mean for companies planning market entry and international expansion. And we’ll bring in the SME perspective. Maciej Stanuch from MedApp S.A. and Cornel Amariei from dotLumen will share what navigating these challenges looks like in practice. Moderated by Michael Barngrover, XR4Europe, the conversation will explore: ➡️ Why do promising VR health technologies still struggle to reach European healthcare systems? ➡️ How can companies navigate different reimbursement pathways, evidence requirements and market conditions across Europe? ➡️ And what can SMEs actually take from the report when deciding where and how to enter the market? Not just the research. The reality behind it, too. 📅 18 September 2026 🕚 11:00 CET 💻 Online via Zoom ⏱ Approx. 45 minutes 🎟 Free participation Read more ↓ https://vrhealthchampions.eu/free-webinar-navigating-market-access-for-vr-health-technologies-in-europe/ Register now → https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/r12tal_9QoCMTVFcx_XY5A#/

XR in healthcare is no longer just about experimentation. The real challenge is making these technologies usable, integrated, and ready for clinical practice 📢

In our latest article, we explore the Technology Domain, one of the four domains of the CIMIT methodology implemented in the #VRHealthChampions project to support the development and assessment of XR healthcare innovations. From AI Algorithms and anonymised medical data to AR-Headset Technologies, interoperability, and medical navigation software, the Technology Domain focuses on the technical foundations needed to bring innovative solutions into real healthcare settings. The article also highlights how collaboration between SMEs, hospitals, universities, and research organisations across Europe helps accelerate innovation and prepare XR solutions for real-world adoption.
