Protthera
About Protthera
Protthera is an innovative deep-tech MedTech startup developing a universal, AI-driven diagnostic platform for the early detection of autoimmune and immune-mediated diseases. By isolating circulating immune complexes (CICs) from a simple blood sample and leveraging advanced mass spectrometry combined with machine learning algorithms, Protthera identifies early pathological signatures long before physical symptoms appear.
The Idea & Initial Focus
Autoimmune diseases affect 5% to 10% of the population, often leading to years of misdiagnosis and delayed treatment. Protthera is disrupting this status quo by addressing reproductive immunology as its primary market entry point. The platform specifically targets the hidden causes of recurrent pregnancy loss and alloimmune embryo rejection in natural pregnancies and IVF procedures. By delivering early, precise diagnostic insights, Protthera enables clinicians to intervene with targeted immunotherapies, shifting care from reactive treatment to proactive prevention and expanding toward diagnosing broader conditions like lupus and multiple sclerosis in the future.
