EIT Food is a branch of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology, operating as a body of the European Union. Through its innovation and education activities and by taking into account the key role of consumers, EIT Food contributes to building sustainable food supply chains. The consortium consists of more than 50 partners from European Union member states and associated countries, including leading companies, universities and research institutes (such as: Cambridge University, Technical University of Munich, Robert Bosch, Nestlé, PepsiCo). The partners' common goal is to change the way food is produced, distributed and consumed, taking into account the needs and expectations of consumers. Over seven years, the partners will invest a total of about €1,200 million and benefit from €400 million in funding provided by the EIT. Between 2018 and 2020, Maspex Group was involved in a total of 29 EIT Food projects.
