U JędrusiaThe Company was founded in 1979 and initially operated as a small, family-owned, Krakow-based restaurant specializing in Old Polish cuisine. In 1989, in addition to continuing the restaurant business, the Company began producing prepared meals on a larger scale. The popularity and growing recognition of U Jędrusia's products led the Company to focus exclusively on the production of ready meals, which from 2004 it also began exporting to foreign markets. Currently, after more than 40 years of existence, the Company is still a company with exclusively Polish capital. However, it has become one of the largest producers of refrigerated meals in Poland. It employs several hundred people, making it one of the largest employers in the area. It also has specialized, modern machinery and transportation with its own logistics. It is worth noting that the Company's activities are also focused on ensuring animal welfare and protecting the environment. The Company has abandoned the use of caged eggs and egg products. In addition, out of concern for the environment, the Company has invested in wastewater treatment plants and photovoltaic panels with a total capacity of 150 kW, segregates waste generated during production, and heats its plants with gas. Moreover, the Company is constantly working to minimize the amount of waste and plastics marketed and entering the environment.
