Parenting TechnologiesWe are a digital health impact startup. Our product is a digital newborn and infant simulator for mobile devices. The association with a game or Tamagotchi is only partially legitimate: we are talking about an educational and pre-therapeutic product. From the user's perspective, we see in it a physiologically animated avatar that responds to touch, sound, light or phone movements. Using the app, we respond to the child's needs and complete further tasks and challenges: from feeding to medical events. The app provides for a cooperative mode. The avatar grows and develops, and the user develops sensitivity and the ability to recognize its needs. The application has three main functions: 1) educational (we learn about the successive phases of development from birth to the 12th month), 2) tutorial (a handy “download” with diagrams and animations on how to care for and nurture a young child) and 3) simulation (=prevention of anxiety by taming parental situations).
