Cancer Center sp. z o.o.Support oncology diagnostics (histopathology and radiology) in better and faster diagnosis using AI (Deep Learning (DL) and Machine Learning (ML))
In Pathology:
We provide PathoCam (WSI) software for digitizing whole pathology slides using our own microscope, and PathoPlatform - web-based pathology slide viewer: zoom / view, annotate and share via web / browser + AI modules to support histopathologist's work in oncology diagnosis
In Radiology:
DICOM web viewer for analyzing radiology images (MRI, CT, ultrasound others) we work within AI modules to support the radiologist in the diagnostic process.
We have developed specialized algorithmic solutions to analyze medical images for pathology and radiology for faster and better accuracy. Our solutions, which we make available through APIs as well as online platforms, aim to provide faster and better access to second and third diagnostic opinions by physicians to help quickly and accurately develop a therapeutic approach. This will help patients and physicians, reduce anxiety caused by not knowing/being sure what case they are dealing with.
Our solutions support daily work i.e. segmenting images, searching for areas of interest, generating statistical descriptions of images, counting cells as well as classifying the whole image/image into categories like degree of malignancy, type of tumor.
Your goal - saving lives, our goal - supporting you through image processing and quick diagnosis.
Cancer is the second cause of death worldwide (2018- 18mln cases; 9.6mln deaths in -2012 14.1 and 8.2mln - WHO, IARC). Diagnosis is based on analysis of radiology and pathology images. The process is unchanged for decades. The diagnosticians work with the microscope and submit the results (documents, samples) by mail. International standards are not used. Often patients wait 2 weeks for a diagnosis. Without digitizing histopathology samples, the patient has no access to the results of his tests, which is also difficult for the doctor. Biological material and radiological scans still have to be sent. Readers open the data differently, and not always another doctor has access to it and/or can use the right viewer. The problem is digitization, proper standardized preparation, and collection of data, especially histopathology.
Business Model
We plan to sell mainly to the business sector, but some of the functionality related to issuing a second medical opinion will also be available to oncology patients. The main customer, however, will be the business customer. The most important customer from the point of view of revenue is the medical unit - clinic, pathology facility, hospital, etc. Other important customers are specialist physicians, who can purchase individual product functionalities. We are planning subscription-based sales.

Technology Description
CancerCenter.Ai is a web platform used to fasten cancer diagnosis. It consists of few modules: PathoPlatform, PathoCam, RadiologyPlatform and MSO Platform. AI algorithms are part of the PathoPlatform application and run from this software's interface. Therefore, the effect of their operation can be edited in the application. Currently, an AI algorithm for assessing the Gleason score in prostate cancer (segmentation, area recognition) is experimentally implemented.
In the case of the algorithm supporting Gleason grade determination, segmentation is performed by a network with the well-known U-Net architecture. PyTorch is used as a library for calculations on neural networks. Storing masks, displaying and modifying them is based on technologies developed internally at the Cancer Center.
Market Description
The customer groups for our products are: radiologists, oncologists, pathologists, and physicians specializing in the treatment of various types of cancer: cancer patients, medical facilities/hospitals.
According to Precedence Research, the global cancer therapeutics market size is predicted to surpass US$ 365.99 billion by 2030 and expanding growth at a CAGR of 9.1% from 2022 to 2030 (https://www.globenewswire.com/en/news-release/2022/04/04/2415940/0/en/Cancer-Therapeutics-Market-Size-to-Surpass-US-365-99-Bn-by-2030.html).
The market related to cancer treatment continues to grow as the number of cases increases, and highly developed countries strive for the most effective treatment possible.
Estimated number of new cancer cases worldwide, for both sexes, age [0-85+] will reach from 19,3M in 2020 to 30,2M in 2040 (https://gco.iarc.fr/tomorrow/en/dataviz/isotype).
The market related to cancer treatment should almost double in size.
USP
The CancerCenter platform will offer tools and services to accelerate cancer diagnosis. It will be an end-to-end solution supporting the process from digitizing (PathoCam) through pathology/radiology image analysis to issuing a final diagnosis in consultation with all treatments.
Offered to pathomorphology departments will be PathoCam for digitizing microscope samples and PathoPlatform for their analysis. The offering for radiologists will be RadiologyPlatform, for analyzing radiology files using AI. The MSO Platform - a tool for all groups that combines all components to work together in a single platform. The components can be sold separately, but they will most fully meet the stated goals as a set of products. It will be a premium product that will provide the greatest mental comfort in the fight against serious illness. A sense of professionalism - the best possible medical care will set us apart from the competition.
