AstraZenecaAstraZeneca is one of the largest biopharmaceutical companies in the world, providing cutting-edge medicines for diseases that challenge modern medicine. We have been present in Poland for more than 30 years. In 1991, the Polish representative office of Astra was established, which changed its name to Astra Pharmaceuticals Poland Sp. z o.o. in 1998. After the company's consolidation with Zeneca Polska Sp. z o.o., AstraZeneca Pharma Poland Sp. z o.o., still operating today, was established.
Since its inception, we have continually emphasized development. Research and development activities are key, as clinical trials are an important pillar of AstraZeneca's innovation. In 2011, a global Clinical Research Operations Center was established in Warsaw as the first in this part of Europe and one of six such R&D centers in the world. Since 2020, the Warsaw facility has held the status of a Research and Development Center.
