Marii Skłodowskiej - Curie - Państwowy Instytut Badawczy Oddział w KThe Maria Sklodowska-Curie National Institute of Oncology - National Research Institute Krakow Branch accepts patients diagnosed with cancer or its suspicion, conducting preliminary and in-depth diagnostics and comprehensive treatment: surgery, radiation (radiotherapy) and systemic treatment, including personalized treatment based on, among other things, molecular diagnostics. The Krakow Branch of the Institute also conducts scientific and research, preventive and didactic activities in the field of diagnosis and treatment of malignant tumors, and deals with oncological epidemiology. The institute's highly qualified team of specialists and scientists carries out the mission set many years ago: "We excel to treat as well as possible." The types of cancers that the specialists of the Krakow branch of the Institute cover with diagnosis and treatment are: breast, large intestine, prostate, ovary, cervix and corpus uteri, vagina, vulva, kidney, adrenal gland, bladder, urethra, pancreas, liver (primary and metastatic lesions), testis and penis, lung, stomach, spleen, thyroid, as well as malignant skin tumors (carcinoma and melanoma), malignant mesenchymal tumors (sarcomas): reproductive organs and soft tissues, brain tumors, and malignant proliferations of lymphoid tissue and marrow: non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and Hodgkin's lymphoma, chronic lymphocytic leukemia and acute lymphoblastic leukemia, multiple myeloma.
