Uniwersytet JagiellońskiJagiellonian University is Poland's oldest and finest institution of higher learning. Founded in 1364 by Casimir the Great and renovated in 1400 by Queen Jadwiga and King Wladyslaw Jagiello, the University skillfully combines centuries-old tradition with modernity.
Jagiellonian University was founded in 1364 in Krakow, Poland. It currently has 16 faculties, three of which make up the Collegium Medicum. In accordance with the principles of the Bologna Process, studies are divided into three degrees: bachelor's, master's and doctoral. All faculties are governed by the European ECTS credit point system, which makes it possible to combine studies at UJ with those at other foreign universities. The University also offers postgraduate studies.
