Problem & EU relevance. Russia’s war against Ukraine has intensified land and water degradation risks and infrastructure damage with spillovers on EU food systems, transboundary waters and environmental security. The EU accession path requires rapid alignment with the environmental acquis and ESG/CSRD reporting frameworks. TWIN‑SEC RES targets the institutional capacity required to manage resource security and evidence‑based reporting, contributing to the Green Deal, EU Soil Strategy, Water Framework Directive, CSRD and EU Taxonomy priorities (policy relevance showcased in the official WIDERA Work Programme).
